Privacy Policy

Last updated October 26, 2026

PortionCalc ("we", "us") runs portioncalc.com. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site.

Information you give us

The site has no accounts and no forms. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.

Information stored in your browser

Some features save small values in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device:

• pc_meal: the portions you add to "Your meal".
• pc_theme: your light or dark theme choice.
• pc_consent: your cookie choice, when the cookie banner is shown.

You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics and advertising

We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, and Google AdSense to show ads that keep the site free. When these are active, a banner asks for your choice. Unless you choose "Accept all", they run with Google Consent Mode in a cookieless way and do not set analytics or advertising cookies. With your consent, Google may set cookies and use data as described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can change your choice on the Cookie Policy page.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we hold almost none, most requests concern email we have received. Contact contact@portioncalc.com.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new date.
